I've been around the block of art-related workshops several times -- from flower arranging, to calligraphy, to the obvious: photography. I've tried to make a real effort to dip my toes into whatever creative outlets I can. 
I am seven years into owning my own business, and working full-time as a photographer. I've had incredible opportunities, and make-you-want-to-pull-your-hair-out stress moments. Along the way, I've been lucky enough to have educational mentoring from some of my favorite photographers, as well as plenty of 'on the fly' experience. 

So, this is my chance to show you everything I've learned up to this point! From how to get the perfect hair flip, to tackling the business stuff [boo! taxes!], to doing a live shoot that everyone can participate in -- like, actually participate. Not just everyone in a mob, trying to shoot over everyone's shoulder. This is the culmination of what I believe to be the perfect one-day workshop experience. No information held back, no crazy time crunch, and no insane price tag.

The details? Here you go:

  • Look, you don't have to scroll any farther for the price. It's $400. 50% up front, and the remainder due two weeks before the date.

  • The day will start at Bodega, with complimentary wine, and a couple hours of chill class time. We'll all get to be pals, have some in-depth conversations about business, and as much Q+A as you wish. Ask me anything. I don't have all the answers, but will give you any that I do!

  • After lunch, we'll move over to the luxurious Skyview Los Alamos, where we'll get those cameras out and start shooting. We'll be having a fashion-focused shoot, which you can use for your portfolio. Don't consider yourself a fashion photographer? Don't sweat it. We'll go over techniques that can be applied to any portrait or wedding shoot. You'll get one-on-one time with the model, and I'll go over how to get every shot you need in less than ten minutes.

I really want to emphasize that you don't have to consider yourself a professional photographer to join in on this workshop. Whether this is something you do as a hobby, full-time, or if you're in another industry and just want to up your photo game, this is knowledge that can be applied to everyone, from fashion bloggers to seasoned professionals.

Where is it? Can I stay nearby?
The workshop is taking place in Los Alamos, CA - it's about 45 minutes away from San Luis Obispo, and an hour away from Santa Barbara! And whether you're traveling from near or far, Skyview Los Alamos has generously offered a discounted room rate for workshop attendees. 

How many spots are available?
There are 10 seats available. Your seat is only secured once I have received your deposit!

What is included in the price?
Your seat at the all-day workshop, wine at Bodega, catered lunch, and snacks throughout the day.

What if I can't make the workshop after booking? Can I get a refund?
Once your seat has been purchased, it is non-refundable, but you may transfer it to another person [responsibility is on you to make this happen] and it is then that person's responsibility to adhere to the guidelines. Please notify me, as well!

What do I need to bring?
Your camera [and a basic knowledge of how to use it!] and a laptop or notebook to take notes!
